The Silchester village hall trustees are delighted to share the news that the village hall as finally been registered with the charity commission as an association Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
As it has been a while since the vote to change the charities status to a CIO at the AGM on 8th April 2024, we thought we would remind you of what the changes mean for you:
You may become a member if you are over 18 years old, live in the area of benefit ( see governance document on website for details ) or by being one of our regular hall users. You can also become a member when you sign in for the AGM meeting. When necessary, you will be able to vote on important issues like amendments of the governance document. You will also now be able to vote by proxy.
You are most welcome to attend our regular monthly meetings that are usually held on the 2nd Monday of the Month at 7pm in the Club Room.
